A first haircut
First cuts
A first cut is a short visit at your child's pace, with you holding on if that helps.
Most first cuts are a few snips around the ears and neckline and a tidy of the front. We spend as long on meeting the tools as on the cut, and we're happy to book a second short visit if the first one was only looking.

Questions about this visit
Is my child too young?
A baby with a little hair can have a trim, and a toddler can have a first cut. If you're not sure, ask us and we'll tell you honestly.
What if the cut doesn't happen?
That's fine. Many first visits are a look around and a few snips, and we'll book another when your child is ready.
What should my child wear?
A top that's easy to cover with a cape and nothing with a high collar.
