Our policies
What to know before you book, in plain words.
Booking and deposits
Book on our booking page or call. A haircut holds your child's time with no deposit. A long braid or twist style may take one, which goes toward the service. We send a reminder the day before.
Canceling and running late
Please give us 24 hours to move or cancel. If you're running late, call us: a short delay is fine and a long one may mean a shorter service or a new time, because the next family is waiting. If your child is unwell, tell us and we'll rebook.
If you miss an appointment
If you miss an appointment without a word, we may ask for a deposit to hold your next time. It happens, and we would rather hear from you before it does.
Children and companions
Children come in with a grown-up, and one grown-up stays for the whole visit. Brothers and sisters are welcome to wait and watch, and a child who is not having a service may sit with you. On quiet mornings we keep to one family at a time.
Patch tests and allergies
We don't color or relax children's hair, so a patch test isn't needed for a haircut. If your child has ever reacted to a hair product, or has a sensitive scalp, tell us when you book and we'll use only plain shampoo and water.
If you're not happy
If you're not happy with a cut or a style, tell us within a few days and we'll make it right.
Tipping
Tips are welcome and never expected. They go to the stylist who cut your child's hair.
Before your visit
Come with hair that is dry, or washed and detangled for a braid or twist style. Dress your child in a top that is easy to take a cape over, bring a favorite toy or book, and arrive five minutes early so your child can look around.
